Drewf's Farm, Camas WA: 72 Homes, 27 Acres of Green Space, and a Name You Won't Forget

The green space ratio is genuinely rare

Most Camas subdivisions allocate land to lots and streets and call it done. Drewf's Farm did something different. Twenty-seven acres of green space for 72 homes means that nearly every home here sits adjacent to, backs up to, or is directly visible from preserved natural open space. Wooded views, private greenbelt lots, quiet streets that dead-end into green corridors — this is what thoughtful community planning looks like when a developer actually commits to it.

Residents describe their streets as quiet, private, and serene. The backing green space is one of the most consistent features in every Drewf's Farm listing description, and it's not accidental. It was designed in from the beginning and it defines the character of the neighborhood in a way that square footage and finish level alone cannot replicate.

The homes are built for the way families actually live

Drewf's Farm was developed between 2008 and 2011 — a construction era that balanced modern systems with practical family layouts and quality exterior materials. Homes here sit on level, cul-de-sac, treed, and sloped lots in Contemporary, Ranch, and Traditional styles, with brick, stone, fiber cement, and lap exteriors that have held up well through a decade-plus of Pacific Northwest weather.

Square footage runs from 1,805 on the smaller end to 4,742 square feet at the top, with an overall average of 2,795 square feet. The typical configuration is four bedrooms with dedicated laundry, central vacuum, ceiling fans, vaulted ceilings, covered patios, decks, gas hookups, and sprinkler systems throughout. These are finished, functional family homes on a hill where the views — Cascade Mountains to the northeast — show up in most rooms rather than just from one dedicated vantage point.

A 2,420 square foot four-bedroom home on NW 30th Avenue sold in February 2025 for $815,000 — a data point that reflects both the quality of the 2008-2011 construction and the sustained demand for well-positioned Prune Hill product in this price range. Larger homes in the 4,000-plus square foot range on NW Hill Street push the ceiling considerably higher.

Location: the northeast Prune Hill sweet spot

Drewf's Farm sits on the northeast side of Prune Hill — enter off NW 28th Avenue at the top of the hill and drop north into the community. The position is ideal. Lacamas Lake is just south, putting the Lacamas Park trail network, the boat launch, and the lake itself within close reach for regular use rather than occasional visits. Cascade Mountain views open to the northeast. Downtown Camas is a short drive. Portland is 25 to 30 minutes via SR-14.

The Costco and Fishers Landing commercial corridor are accessible without a long drive — a practical detail that daily life in Camas makes you appreciate quickly. And Washington residency means no Oregon income tax, which at the household income levels common to buyers in this price range represents meaningful annual savings that compound over time.

Walking distance to Camas's best schools

Drewf's Farm residents are in a genuinely enviable school position. Woodburn Elementary — one of the Camas School District's top-rated elementary schools — is walkable from the neighborhood. Camas High School is also close. The full Camas School District pipeline runs from there, with the district consistently ranking among the top in Washington State. Camas High School specifically draws relocating families who choose this zip code for its academic performance above nearly everything else.

Walking distance to an A-rated elementary school and proximity to Camas High School is a combination that a surprisingly small number of Camas neighborhoods can claim. Drewf's Farm is one of them.

Who this neighborhood is for

Drewf's Farm attracts buyers who want a newer Prune Hill home with a genuine connection to the outdoors — not a small lot with a maintained turf strip, but real green space woven into daily life. Families who want to walk to school. Buyers who want Lacamas Lake accessible without living on top of it. Move-up buyers who want the northeast Prune Hill position with Cascade views and the privacy that 27 acres of green space actually delivers.

It's a community that rewards buyers who do their research. The name gets attention. The green space ratio keeps it.
